DERICK'S TIMING JOURNEY

1999

Started his trading journey to become a full-time trader.

Has been an active trader and investor in the stock, commodities, currencies, bonds and property markets till now.

2009

Derick made his first pot of gold through the application of Timing in the 7-Year Sabbatical Cycle during the devastating Global Financial Crisis.

2015

Founded Timing & You.

Accurately predicted the final low in oil & gold during the Wealth Insider Summit held in Kuala Lumpur.

2016

Derick forecasted that Dow Jones would reach 30,000 when it was just only 18,000 and it came true on 24th November 2020.

Thrice in a year, Derick was featured in the Smart Investor and The Edge Malaysia Weekly for his accurate forecast and unique investment strategies.

2017

Derick accurately called for the bottom of Bitcoin at US$2,000.

Invited to speak and teach at AIA Singapore, CIMB Investment Bank and Kenanga Investment Bank.

2018

Launched the first of its kind proprietary Timing & You Relative Risk Index (RRI)™.

Invited speaker for Bursa Malaysia and CMC Markets Singapore.

Travelled around the globe to share knowledge on Cycle Analysis, investment and trading.

2019

Derick’s bright vision, courage and influence to drive positive change won him the “World Excellent Young Leader” award by the prestigious Yazhou Zhoukan (亞洲週刊).

Featured in Singapore’s The Straits Times where he shared how he see the global financial markets will pan out and where the profit opportunities lie in 2020 and beyond.

2020

When COVID-19 hit, while many market analysts claimed that the bear market is here, Derick maintained his course and not only called for Dow Jones to go beyond 30,000 but added to his forecast of NASDAQ to break 12,000, which NASDAQ did on 2nd September 2020 and Dow Jones finally broke 30,000 on 24th November 2020 as predicted previously in 2016.

Featured in Business Today and CITYPlus FM where he shared his Timing & You journey, Cycle Analysis and the proprietary T&Y Relative Risk Index.

2021

Timing & You community hit 1,000 members.

Derick’s next forecast was again spot on with S&P 500 hitting 4,200 on 29th April 2021 and NASDAQ reaching 15,000 level on 24th August 2021.

Invited to speak for NASDAQ, the world’s 2nd largest stock exchange.

2022

Derick successfully called for the arrival of the long awaited bear market.

Invited to give insightful talks in Phillip Capital and Rakuten Trade to prepare their clients and staffs for the coming Stagflation.

Derick is a devout market historian, old school market technician and fundamental analyst, he studies and discovers how different investment asset classes and markets actually work and he trains people how to use historical patterns and market seasonality in conjunction with Technical Analysis and Fundamental Analysis to uncover ripe trading and investment opportunities by zeroing in on asset classes where all 3 disciplines line up to reduce risk and increase probability of winning.

He understands the importance of financial intelligence and intends to do his part to prepare as many people to accumulate their wealth, manage their finances and protect what they have built by imparting his knowledge of cycles, technicals, fundamentals, capital flow analysis and 24 years of real-life trading and investment experience.

Derick provides global asset strategies and investment ideas for High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) in China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar etc. Through his extensive travels and studies of markets around the world, Derick understands that it is important to analyse the market from a timing, price and global perspective and it should not be a flat model that looks at simply that one market but correlating the entire globe. Therefore, he is able to provide sound and timely insights on how to deploy and allocate investment between different asset classes in different stages of the macro market cycle.
